-about your instructor-
Helena is a certified Neurolinguistic Practitioner, Life Coach, and Contemporary Yoga Instructor and Ballerina with nearly 30 years of experience in the dance and wellness industries. Specializing in trauma-informed practices and the mind-body connection, she has dedicated her career to helping others heal and thrive through movement.
Her journey took a pivotal turn in 2020 when a head injury led her to focus on her own recovery through yoga, movement, and dance. This experience deepened her commitment to sharing the transformative power of dance with others, particularly those facing their own physical and emotional challenges.
A lifelong passion for dance began in childhood
And it was inspired by ballet.
Over the years, Helena has mastered various dance styles and has been teaching dance fitness since 2006, bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of community to every class. After overcoming personal hardships, including escaping an abusive marriage, she reignited her dance career, teaching in London and working with children at a Brain Injury Rehabilitation School.
Today, she continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing studies in neurology, psychology, and trauma-informed practices. Her classes are designed to be nurturing and inclusive, offering everyone the opportunity to experience the joy and therapeutic benefits of dance.
